Tomas S (mx) wrote: You've seen a movie like this before, but it tricks you into thinking you haven't. The relatively-unknown actors do their job and the Texas range does the rest. Pretty good stuff.

Jarrett M (us) wrote: Prowl is a bit of a mish-mash between horror sub-genres, but it does have an air of creepiness about it and I found the first half of the film to be very effective for the most part, but the second half seems to drag and the less than earth-shattering revelations that the film throws at you do little to elevate it. A decent atmosphere and 'smarter than the average bear' characters do push this into the territory that would cause me to recommend this, but only mildly. There certainly are other films that do what this does and do it better.

Jordon J (br) wrote: As the star of Assassination Games, Jean-Claude Van Damme makes a lot of great decisions. As the executive producer, he appears to have made fewer. I say SKIP IT!!!

Simon T (jp) wrote: It shouldn't work. Every musical clich (C) - newspaper cuttings, 'let's do the show right now', schmaltz and sentimentality at every turn - but somehow it wins you over, in very large measure because of Larry Parks' central performance. He humanises and softens the egotistical Jolson. The movie ends up eating itself when Parks meets Parks, but it's a very enjoyable ride.

Ryan C (nl) wrote: I think the critics were a little harsh on this film, it's solid.
