I liked the 2D animation and I liked of how you can that everything as drawn by hand but by the time you get to this cheesy, crappy, and choppy 3D computer generated animation, it looks terrible. In my personal opinion, the choppy 3D computer generated animated scenes looks like something that you would see in an old PlayStation One or Nintendo 64 (N64) game. With all do respect, this is one of those movies where it doesn't work. The Nercomorphs however did looked very different and very unique but it just kind leaves wishing that you saw them more. In Dead Space: Downfall, you saw the Nercomorphs throughout the entire film and they were nicely hand drawn and you could tell that they putted a lot of effort into the drawing and making of the Nercomorphs. This movie just doesn't work. I can understand that they wanted to do something completely different and take some risks but there are times when trying to do something completely just does not work and this is one of them. It's not bad but Downfall is a lot better. In Downfall, they didn't use any crappy 3D computer generated scenes and it was not throughout the whole movie like this one did.

Dustin Hoffman absolutely shines in this, doing an impression of his friend Robert Evans a film producer putting on a scam "War" to help the current president distract from a controversy just 11 days before the election for his 2nd term. It makes me laugh every time I watch it!- One of my all-time favourite comedies. I have seen it more times than I can count and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again. The movie was definitely ahead of its time. Hoffman gives an outstanding performance emulating hid friend and great Producer Robert Evans. this film is a must watch!

Tyler H (ca) wrote: Was it a terrible movie? No, but the focus is put too heavily on the grief and sadness, that the formulaic and cliche plot seems almost pitiful in itself. A great story mired down by its own inability to breakthrough the grief. McConaughey is something else, though.
