The things that he gets upto in this film and all the adventures that he goes on to get back to owner. It's quite a sad film too throughout, but a truly great one as well. I hope to own the DVD someday.

(de) wrote: I loved this! It was my kinda movie since I'm interested in anything that has to do with the '60s and '70s. I think Kiefer Sutherland was great. Peace, man, peace.
(it) wrote: It was an okay story with a very bland execution.
(gb) wrote: Reichardt's unbearable head-scratcher Meek's Cutoff intrigued me enough to check out her catalog, and I'm glad I didn't write her off. The minimalist, realist (almost social realist), girl-and-her-dog drama Wendy and Lucy is just wonderful. It's the polar opposite of Meek's Cutoff, in that it has characters and conversations and nice cinematography and comprehensible sound design and a story and all those things that make movies enjoyable and meaningful. Wendy and Lucy is quiet and powerful and quietly powerful and highly recommendable. It's the sort of independent drama that puts Hollywood schlock to shame, as opposed to the sort of indie movie that shames indie movies at large.
