Al M (ca) wrote: Ranking right behind Wrath of Khan, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country represents a perfect ending to the original cast films, which was only slightly marred by the travesty that is Star Trek: Generations. It perfectly blends the development of the aging characters together with a politically complicated plot that provides an ideal summation of the series and films.

Robyn M (de) wrote: I think i've become a Synical adult- lacking imagination- or perhaps it never really had the magic i always thought it posessed??!Escape to Witch Mountain was 1 of my favorite childhood classics, but looking back i understood all to well how Movies are made and it's special effects aren't what they use to be for me. The whole movie just seemed lame and to formulated. I knew what was going to happen, and with Disney you know the Alien Childern aren't in any real harm. With there 'special' abilities to help them survive, it's only a matter of time before there beamed up and we can all go on with our own lives again...

Rooster H (it) wrote: Id like for everyone to see this movie!! Its a classic in its own time! Im actually going to buy the dvd when i find it!!!! one of Don Johnson, Judith Ivey and William Russes best Movies ever! No movie has captured the South like this one has!!

Steve W (it) wrote: Sprawling emotional epic finds a simple country girl falling for a ladies man, but he leaves her with child and without wedding ring. The baby dies and she is rejected by her family, so she must travel until being taken in by a farm. The move is able to capture little emotions on the player's faces, as well as throwing in many curves and twists for a very heart wrenching if long tale. DW Griffith's drama is influential for sure, giving us a simple morality tale with a lot of drama and conflict.

Joseph R (nl) wrote: The "Batman and Robin" of Godzilla movies, complete with a monster who lacks (with the exception of his 160 foot stature) nearly every one of his iconic characteristics, physical or behavioral. Top that off with piss-poor performances from Matthew Broderick (who I normally like) and Maria Pitillo, brainless pop-cultural references (Siskel and Ebert, Star Wars, the Simpsons...), and scenarios and images borrowed from the far superior "Jurassic Park" franchise, and you get a motion picture that will disappoint Godzilla fans, critics, and frankly all but the most undiscerning filmgoers.
