A Gunfight

A Gunfight

Will Tenneray and Abe Cross are two aging, famous gunfighters, both in need of money. Cross rides into town, having failed as a gold prospector. His reputation is such that everyone expects him to shoot it out with Tenneray, who capitalizes on his legend by working at the saloon to "sucker fools into buying drinks." To the town's surprise, Tenneray and Cross take a liking to one another. There is no hostility between them whatsoever.Tenneray is desperate for money, however. He comes up with the idea to stage a duel to the death in a bullfight arena, with the ticket proceeds going to the winner. Unfortunately, by killing Cross, he reasons to Nora, his wife, "I could lose my best friend." The actual gunfight is shot in a low-key and unromanticised fashion, and is over in a couple of seconds. In an extended fantasy sequence near the end, the widow of the defeated gunfighter imagines what might have happened if her husband had won.

Two aging gunfighters in need of money come to an agreement to organize an actual showdown between them and sell tickets for it. The townsfolk is more than interested to see the "show". . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Ron W (de) wrote: Great movie! Nice to see a new concept used rather than something rehashed.

Hollie S (es) wrote: This has become one of my favorite films of recent years.Juno Temple and Michael Angarano are endearing and delightful to watch on screen. Juno is one of my favorite people to see on screen, she could probably do anything on film and I'd still find it enjoyable. The movie itself is fun, lighthearted, and still has just enough content to make you wonder what you'd do in a similar situation. Love this movie, and I recommend it anytime anyone asks for a film to watch.

Richie M (ca) wrote: My wife paid for this and obviously they all needed to make house payments to act in this.

Amy P (us) wrote: A great movie that brought me to tears at the end. Well done, Shah Rukh and Kajol.

Lubna P (jp) wrote: The script seemed a bit contrived at first but got better as the movie progressed. HATED the sub-plot with the kid suffering from cancer. I don't know any kid who talks like that and she creeped me out. Tabu, as always, was ravishingly natural. AB does justice to his role.... I could totally see why she would fall for him. I saw No Reservations right after this and was disappointed to see that the first scene was lifted from it (which, in turn, was lifted from Mostly Martha).

Garwin S (ru) wrote: Don't you just love German movies where they're so eager to show their pink bits and legitamise it as art?

Shea L (ag) wrote: Disgrace to the Riddick series. The story was good, but the art was scarily crappy... if that makes sense. Too bad...

Synthia J (mx) wrote: Love this movie, one of my top five favorites.
