(fr) wrote: Second rate production has drug dealer using a struggling country music group as a front for cocaine smuggling. Contains a few familiar faces such as Richard Jaekel but otherwise entirely forgettable. Cover boldly notes the film is 'In Color', which seems unnecessary for a 1984 video release.

I only wish DC and Marvel would make these movies a bit longer. Both of these Ultimate Avengers movies are great to watch, especially while waiting for the live-action Avengers movie to hit the big screen.

It's plot is not meant to contain oscar winning drama with hints of comedy, but is one to hold primarily an original down south comedy with hints of a touching story that teaches achieving what really matters in life. Some might say it's a bit risky in stereotypes. But personally, I'm from the south and I found it refreshing and at times hysterical. I give it a big thumbs up. -E

(jp) wrote: Honestly, don't know what to say about this film. Became better towards the end but I know that if I saw the film on tv from the beginning I'd probably skip channel, it's a bit weird and not as funny as it says that it's gonna be.

(kr) wrote: I have now seen all 3 versions of this movie and, by FAR, this was the absolute WORST! The actress tried too hard (and failed, btw) to recreate the original "Carrie" as portrayed by Ms Spacik. Horrible version! PAY YOURSELF to miss this one!
(es) wrote: Elizabeth Olsen gives an outstanding debut performance. I was really impressed with her but Martha Marcy May Marlene could have been much better if story had been told decently. It was quite slow at times but overall it was a decent psychological drama.

(br) wrote: I get it, the acting is supposed to be bad. The dialogue is supposed to be bad. The story, the effects, and the audio is supposed to be bad. But it's just all too much...and it's all over the place. The humour takes about 5 minutes to be lost on me, and then the rest of the film just begins putting me to sleep.
