After an unexpected twist of events she loses her job and decides to follow Steve and his special unit of reporters through the country. But Steve isn't so much into her, in fact he starts to consider her a stalker.Contrarily to what the title says this movie is not all about Steve but all about Mary or perhaps all about Sandra Bullock, she is the star and everything in it revolves about her character. She is funny, there is no doubt about it; in fact the whole film is based in her humorous skills and little else. There isn't enough story to keep us going for so long so we have several charming sketches where Mary/Sandra Bullock just talk non stop to cover up for the thin plot; and at points it works, in other moments you just feel like "Shut up, Mary!"

This ranks in the top three. It documents Romanian dictator Ceausecu's decision to ban contraception and abortion to increase the country's work force (see movie stats), and all the ramifications that come from that decision completely collapsing. It settles on all the children essentially left behind and abandoned, and its about as depressing as any film I have ever seen. I rarely cry during films, but I did through this.......almost entirely. Not for the faint of heart.

STCENTERPRISE (fr) wrote: This film is made in 1940 and set during World War I. it is a spy film. It can be kind of boring. There is some action at the beginning and towards the end of the film but the middle of the film it is mostly conversations trying to determine who is working for who and who are the spies. It is kind of a difficult film to follow since this film has double agents as well as talking. It was an alright film but kids would probably be born by the film. There is some trench warfare, German spies, British Intelligence as well as double agents. The film has it's moments.I had difficulties seeing this film the first time determining who was working for who and what exactly the spies were after.
Craig T (es) wrote: This is a perfectly observed character study, small in story but ablaze with one of the finest screen performances of all time. Paprika Steen is so phenomenal, her work is almost beyond description. Watching this, one is never quite sure where the film is going, yet always certain wherever it goes, it'll be flawlessly true.
