(au) wrote: A horrible film that informs the facts but doesnt provide an entertaining film. Apart from Divoff and Todd and it's clear they were in it for the money as it's not their best work the acting is horrible esp the smug lead actor which is the worst since the lead from Man bites dog. The direction brings no suprises and for a film thats R18+ there's not very much violence. Not as horrible as a Uli Lommel film but not far off.
(ru) wrote: Bette and her shimmy make this movie great from that point onwards. The photography is excellent and brings out the insincere behavior of Americans and their lustful empty lives. Actors convey all the emotions with aplomb with attention to feelings of the twists and turns of love, hate and anger making for a deep entertainment. Nibbles: Cheese and Onion Quiche.
(br) wrote: "The Triplets of Belleville" features stunningly imaginative animation paired with socio-political criticisms of the American industry built off of the back of foreign culture/labor, its parts adding up to a squarely brilliant piece of modern-age filmmaking.
(gb) wrote: A pretty good film. Helen Mirren does a star turn as the really mean teacher who seems to hate being a teacher and pulls off being quite manipulative down to a tee. Lots of twists & turns!
(es) wrote: Great performances all round with the usual spectacular Irish scenery, shame they didn't actually film it in Donegal where it was meant to be set as Donegal is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Really, really depressing and I think I want to go stand in front of a bus now but instead I'll go have a beer and BBQ :)

(au) wrote: A dull, uninvolving and derivative biopic full of the clichs that Eastwood has by now become an expert on, and it doesn't give us any reason why this story deserves to be told or what makes those characters remotely interesting besides Frankie Valli's voice.
(nl) wrote: The original films were no masterpieces. However, Warwick Davis always did manage to give them a little something. Minus him this is a tedious one to get through.
