A Teacher

A Teacher

Part psychological thriller and part provocative character study, A TEACHER explores the unraveling of a young high school teacher, Diana (Lindsay Burdge), after she begins an affair with one of her teenage students, Eric (Will Brittain). What starts as a seemingly innocent fling becomes increasingly complex and dangerous as the beautiful and confident Diana gets fully consumed by her emotions, crossing boundaries and acting out in progressively startling ways. Lindsay Burdge delivers a deeply compelling and seamlessly naturalistic performance that brings us into the mind of an adult driven to taboo against her better judgment.

A high school teacher in Austin, Texas has an affair with one of her students. Her life begins to unravel as the relationship comes to an end. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Deon K (de) wrote: Good movie. Why so many dislike it is beyond me.

Nilufer R (mx) wrote: I said I wasn't interested, why do I change my mind, a mystery. The movie was dull, uninteresting, depressing. The only thing worth seeing was Lucy Liu. Other than that, total waste of time. I can definetely say I'm not a Jeremy Northam fan either.

Nadine L (nl) wrote: I don't understand why Richard Gere is so very unsexy in this movie, all I could see were his rodent teeth and his talking just like a super nerd Woody Allen accent made me grossed out. I've always hated Julia Roberts, she seems to totally overact every single scene, anyway, I watched the stupid movie but I do not recommend it, the plotting is super bad i.e. missing.

Richard W (ru) wrote: Jim Carrey not being serious.

Tim W (br) wrote: Good story, love the characters, great acting, and it's a classic. So good that its kind of an archetype for modern action movies.

Lisa G (us) wrote: Buen musical. Me gusto bastante.

Masorad (nl) wrote: Admirable sequel, with standout performance by Sam Levene as Lt Abrams. A young Jimmy Stewart also shows his acting chops, and a visit by Nick & Nora to Aunt Katherine's contains some of Powell's best moments in the series.

KJ P (es) wrote: Tonally perfect and musically intriguing, "Ping Pong Summer" is a very retro-eqsue film with very little originality, but a very amusing plot that overshadows it's cliches. It may not be the best film out there, but the dumb humour and over-the-top tribute to the 80's is so good that it begins working against it. Don't get me wrong, this is a very fun indie flick that you can easily have fun with, but it's written as a very run-of-the-mill screenplay and therefore there is not much to get attached to. Even though the film has life lessons sprinkled throughout, they are done so dramatically and epically that is feels intentional, and I am still not sure if that is what they had in mind. The cast is good enough for what the story is and they portray their characters well enough to pass by the picture. By the end of this film, the cliches became predictable and you will see the ending coming from a mile away, but I will give credit to where credit is due. "Ping Pong Summer" has an awesome soundtrack and the story is so cliched that it makes it that much more fun. I'll admit, I had quite a bit of fun watching it, so I'll warrant it a mild recommendation.
