David is an old prisoner, released after twenty-four years in a penitentiary for a crime he hasn't committed. The three men who framed him and sent him away, are now prominent citizens of his town. David walks out of the prison straight into a confessional booth at his church. He tells the priest that he is about to kill three prominent men, for which he seeks God's pardon in advance. He must find his old friend, bootlegger and the custodian of David's only son. David had believed in his friend to bring up his son as the worst criminal and seek revenge from the men who put him away. On meeting him, David finds that his son is a Cop instead. Devastated, David continues on his own. When he is about to kill the three men, his son has vowed to protect the citizens under any circumstances. David and his son are at war..who will prevail?

Gaspar O (ag) wrote: This may not have been a terrific film, but Jesse Eisenberg once again proves that he's a very fine actor no matter the setting. Tracy Morgan was funny as always playing an inept and awkward drug dealer, and, unfortunately, Melissa Leo makes any movie just a little bit worse. It was very frustrating to watch at times, as it was often a comedy of errors, but that is a certain level of success in my book. All in all, slightly above adequate on a couple good performances.

Even a low budget, shoddily acted bit of hokum like Night Skies, has enough to unsettle me for the most part. A lot of it is in the amateur leagues, but the director certainly has an eye for sticking stuff in the background. It gets even creepier when we see things that the characters don't. It's a shame that there's such a bombastic musical score to ruin a lot of the intensity. It's tolerable when it keeps itself simple, but when it goes aliens overboard it loses the mystery.

Once he completed that sequence he was hired by the producers to reshoot additional sequences. Sharp:The chappie who directed originally [Geoffrey Reeve, who died in 2010] has gone on to produce some nice movies, and before this he had a good career in shooting commercials. And he's a talented man. But he didn't have a story sense then, as a director, and he and his camera operator, each set-up, you know, a sequence that looked like part of a television commercial and wasn't there for the drama of it, or just to let the audience know what was happening. And therefore I had to take parts out of, for example, a nightclub sequence. Seventy-five per cent of it was fine; only when it came to the dialogue bits between them did I have to go in and reshoot it, because it just didn't make sense - to shoot a couple of really good, important dialogue lines to do with the plot in a shot between the legs of a dancer . . . That wasn't exactly it but I mean that sort of thing, you know. It was done for a visual effect.ReceptionSharp said the film went on to make "a mint of money" and claimed in 2007 he was still getting royalties from it being shown on television.man this is such a gripping/thrilling movie 2 watch, its got such a brilliant cast throughout this movie.......Its got a good soundtrack throughout this movie.......I think that this is such a classics movie 2 watch, it is such a really well written/acted/directed movie 2 watch, its got such a brilliant cast throughout this movie.......I think that this is such a classics movie 2 watch, it is such a fantastic movie 2 watch,

Martin T (jp) wrote: I'm a champion of Rope, but I'd rate this one above it. It sticks closer to the real story, explores it in greater detail, and goes deeper into the psychology. And Stockwell is a far better "Loeb" than Farley Granger. The best stuff involves the period just after the murder, with the boys trying to outwit the police; there were tense moments where I simultaneously wanted them to escape and get caught. It slows down quite a bit for the trial, although Welles' final monologue is brilliant.
