(nl) wrote: Finale starts off strong with some genuinely creepy imagery, but it fails to develop from there into anything meaningful. It ultimately plays out as a tired haunted house/supernatural haunting film that has nothing significant to add to the genre.
(mx) wrote: Got caught up in this fictional docu drama. It does a great job of protraying life and building up a tense sense of dread but the payoff is lacking. There are too many questions about why and what happens to make it a "good" movie but I think the movie did what it intended to do, which was put the viewer in the shoes of a suicide bomber. The why part, will not be answered to any satisfaction. Not worth seeing.
(us) wrote: The most Underrated Film in the history of Indian Cinema. Very Realistic. Irrfan Khan gives a F******ly amazing performance for which he won all popular awards. The movie doesn't feature any Expensive Sets, Designer Costumes, Exotic Foreign Locations instead it takes us to the rustic world of student politics in Allahabad. The story & the characters are not larger than life, which makes it more intriguing. The ending also takes us by surprise.Any foreigner who hasn't seen an Indian film, I recommend you start with Haasil.

(fr) wrote: I loved the story. A woman taking over a country with sex. Cool. Oh, and I loved the giant, grotesque sets. And the gauzy fabric motif. And the far-out caricature characters.Peary, in 100 Cult Movies, figures Sternberg was pretty right on with the history, if he condensed things a tad. Peary's essay revels in ideas of control: Sternberg's over the production, and as the key to Dietrich's persona.

(br) wrote: It's a good idea, but this is just another pointless, no-good, comedy movie.
