(br) wrote: The epidemic part of the storyline drew me to this film. I can't say I loved it, but nor can I hated it. It was entertaining without being too ridiculously graphic. Yes there is blood. The characters are ok. All unknown talent and the acting is very subpar. But regardless it's almost spoofing the fact if we spend too much time on social network sites will go crazy haha!Anyways worth a watch.
(gb) wrote: Simple Lies has a very familiar story. Young people looking for money get caught up in drug dealing and pay the consequences, etc etc... and it follows all the same rules as many of the other similar movies. However... the stand-outs for this film is the energetic directing of Ariel Vromen and the excellent performance from young up and comer Colin Hanks. Eric Balfour and Lauren German are competent in their roles and round off the young cast well. The script of Simple Lies is below par, as it fails to describe in detail what happened at certain points and you are left asking yourself "What happened there?", but overall the movie is merely showing that the world of drug dealing is a dangerous and violent one, and it shows it well. It is quite depressing though... so watch it when you are in the mood for a more serious film.

(es) wrote: Jeremy Northam's performance is first-rate, but there's perhaps one too many twists in this corporate espionage movie for my taste. The production budget is limited, but Director Natali does a lot with very little, and embues the material with a noirish sophistication. Great followup for fans of "Cube" and future fans of "Splice."
