(br) wrote: It's a very funny film. Snotty lot who don't like it.
(au) wrote: A surprisingly sweet, simplistic yet somewhat bizarre film. Rory Culkin, Julia Garner and Bill Sage are all fantastic and put on strong performances, anchoring the film and the conceit is a clever one (impregnation by rock N roll music). It's not my favorite film, but if the trailer or concept at all catch your attention or interest you, I'd say its worth a watch.

(ca) wrote: The absolute worst Star Wars cannon film to date. I didn't think that it could get much worse than the Phantom Menace, but boy was I wrong. This is a absolute bore. The characters are terrible and the worst of all the the primary protagonist, Skywalker. He just can't act very well and delivers just wooden lines throughout the entire film. The only saving grace is Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan. He is even given just garbage to work with through this snooze fest of a film.

(au) wrote: one of those great all star outings from hollywood's twilight. my only criticism of this film is the slipshod design elements. only signoret and leigh try to look like it's 1933. the others are making no effort whatsoever and they look ludicrous. even the men--except for jose ferrer have 1960s hair and contemporary suits. but this novel, which is not an easy read, is wrestled into a dramatic, manageable screenplay by abby mann. and leigh, signoret, marvin, werner and ferrer are their usual splendid selves in roles that are representative of their respective talents.
