It's always the case that with sequels they up the ante there's more of everything and in basket case 2 there's more of everything. More freaks, more special effects and better special effects. The only thing missing maybe just some more comically graphic kills.

The choice of location set the stage for other films of it's genre say The Lord of the Rings. If you didn't already notice. Half the movie was filmed in New Zealand near Queenstown and Milford Sound. I admitt the story was a bit stretched but it wasn't overly long.
