There was a lot of emotion behind Maura Tierney's character Madeline Foster that I feel was not really needed. They needed to make her seem like she was so messed up inside but it did not need to be such a large point in the plot and then go no where in the end. This film ended rather abruptly and without much explanation other than they found the woman and killed the kidnapper. It was an ok movie and I enjoyed it, but to say I would crave watching it again may be an overstatement.

At work he pushes himself to the limit; at home he's so wired he all but ignores his perfect housewife Connie (Cate Blanchett). When a slick and mystic newcomer joins the staff in the control center, Nick's top-dog title is suddenly threatened. Russell Bell (Billy Bob Thornton) is part cowboy, part Zen master and totally annoying to Nick. To make matters worse, Russell's hot, party-gal wife Mary (Angelina Jolie) makes a play for Nick that is too good for him to refuse. It's not long before the competition heats up, Nick begins to lose his cool and both his professional and personal life begin to crash in flames!also stars Vicki Lewis, Jake Webber, Kurt Fuller, Matt Ross and Jerry Grayson.directed by Mike Newell.
Alexson P (ag) wrote: Flawed but Emmerich manages to make it entertaining enough. Van Damme is nice. Not much to say. Interesting concept. Nice little social commentary about the delusions of the American soldiers who went to war with Vietnam and came out alive. Yeah. Definitely the directors better films.

Bill T (de) wrote: In this unrelated sequel, (unrelated as in, well, Angie Dickinson dies in the first movie, and this movie, well, doesn't bother to explain why Dickinson is up and about) Big Bad Mama and her daughters are up to no good again, robbing and fleeing authorities while making whopee with the local men (Robert Culp!) Really doesnt add anything to the first movie, mainly a rehash (a montage of chases features footage from the first for no discernable reason). No real reason to see this. keep moving.
