Cody L (br) wrote: Sweet, although not so much an original story. Abigail Breslin shines as the title character and shows that not only is she a very talented actress, but a talented singer as well.

Valerie O (ru) wrote: Kristen Stewart was better than I thought she'd be.

Andrew H (ca) wrote: This has to be one of the best Troma movies ever! This and Tromeo compete for the absolute best in my opinion.

John M (kr) wrote: The premise is fine. But, the movie goes on for too much time! Even at 101 minutes, the movie could've done with some tightening. The crooks pull off two major heists after the opening action sequence, when one extra would've done it.Wesley Snipes is good here, as is the rest of the cast. John Badham's direction is serviceable, as usual. But, the writing, which took a lot of screenwriters!, needed the trimming. Hans Zimmer does a good job with the film score, although this score two years later for John Woo's "Broken Arrow" sounds fairly similar.By the end, I was losing interest, when I should have had the most.

Yuri B (ca) wrote: Loved this movie... damn the critics!

William B (jp) wrote: Not as good as Zombi 2.

Matthew C (br) wrote: Fun action and adventure from Disney, this movie plays out like most 'lost world' films, but is still has plenty to like. David Hartman, of all people, headlines as an archeologist who leads a team into the arctic circle in the late 1800s. Some cool, if stock twists and some pretty good imagery, if not the greatest special effects help. Solid family entertainment, and not too long for its own good.

Shawn S (jp) wrote: This has wonderfully over-the-top characters, a great cast, excellent direction, and an exquisite score.

Nia N (nl) wrote: was such a great movie serious yet hilarious at the same time which many films can't pull off and another thing is that the actors are great

The Critic (it) wrote: Despite waves of silliness, Adrian Lyne's film is an altogether guilty pleasure of Mills & Boon trash dressed up as a sophisticated question of morality. The film is given clout by its strong cast; Robert Redford possesses a cool charisma, Woody Harrelson competently depicts a range of emotions and Demi Moore, the commodity in-between them, switches from both warm to icy and back again under the weight of her conundrum. Central characters David and Diana Murphy (Harrelson and Moore) travel on a far-reaching arch that would perhaps be more suited to daytime television, but audiences flocked to see it, despite a majority of critics advising them otherwise, and the film's core question still holds relevance and intrigue.

Chris F (us) wrote: This film is quite possibly the greatest cinematic achievement in cgi history. The character designs and attention to detail have you wondering how much time and money went into crafting this epic and visionary tale.
