This is a good example of realistic moments - Every moment, in the boy's day. The imperfect, and average scenarios tie this piece together great. Ultimately, the calm demeanor changes into turmoil that shifts the movie unexpectedly. Yet, the story holds a strong realization that beyond a surface level things aren't always what they appear to be. I gave this a 4 star review because of my own selfish reasons. I wanted "more" substances from each character. Although, I know each role had their major vulnerabilities exposed. So, maybe I am wishing for just one more day in their lives.

Dramatic? Nope. There is some garbled message about relationships but beyond that, just 2 hours of phone it in acting, poor dialogue, and little else. Scenery is nice though, about the only thing worth watching.

(us) wrote: Welcome to my 400th review since March 2011!What better movie to take a look at other than 'This is Spinal Tap'. A cult classic. These guys put on a fantastic show over a brief 80 minutes thanks to Rob Reiner's astute portrayal of the rock and roll lifestyle. It's considered a rockumentary. A coined term for this special genre. The laughs are hearty and the dialogue is easily quotable. If you're a lover of music and have taken classes about the history of rock like I did, you'll easily recognize every little nuance they interpret from some of the most famous bands. The one part that slayed me was the Stonehenge bit. It's cleverly written pieces like this that make you look back on what cinema was like back in the day and you only wish there was more like this on a consistent basis.
