Shane J (ag) wrote: john landis's take on the vampire genre, this just isnt in the same league as american werewolf in london. what it does have is robert loggia being awesome and ott in the lead gangster role, its an interesting idea at least with some good funny black comedy and a few nice cameo's.unfortunatly its just to long to keep u that interested and gets quite boring.

Tony L (br) wrote: A more than watchable movie with outstanding performances from our three lead actors. The movie does not however reach the depths for which it plunges!

HL L (mx) wrote: Brillant. I bought the video when I was a kid.

Joe L (ru) wrote: The greatest story ever. Old Lodge Skins is the best movie character of all time.

Ben C (au) wrote: The movie where director Polanski would marry her then-future wife Sharon Tate soon after, the film is a surprise. This director shows us that not all vampire movies are meant to be horror movies, with clever scenes of comedy and romance written into the movie. Every main actor (especially Polanski himself) tries hard in the acting department, and it features a twist, not as shocking as the original Wicker Man, but is inevitable that has to be seen.

Richard L (mx) wrote: This movie adaptation of an HG Welles story has amazing picture quality and special effects. Although it doesn't make any sense from a scientific point of view, this naturalist adventure (much like those Jules VERNE movie adaptations) about three individuals in the 1800's going to the Moon is interesting. Some elements may have inspired the Sandpeople and the carbonite in Star Wars.

Tony K (fr) wrote: Probably the best WWII Royal Navy movie that's actually directly based on a real incident (i.e. discounting In Which We Serve and The Cruel Sea).

Wendy C (au) wrote: Excellent performances by the whole cast, but particularly by Doris Day and James Cagney. It got a handful of Oscar nominations, but none for Day. This bothered Cagney very much. For my taste they could have cut out a couple of the many songs, but Day performs them well.
