(kr) wrote: It was not as funny as I thouht it would be. Miss Pettigrew surely has likable leads, but they are let down by its muddled/melodramatic plot and slow pacing.
(mx) wrote: Another honestly observed drama by Susanne Bier. Each character is as flawed as the next and although this propels the cinematic feel, the pacing is its enemy as well as the story.16/6/2013

(nl) wrote: An odd movie, high with family emotions and tinged with the always good antipodean humour, this gives an insight into the beliefs of one of the native clans of New Zealand, which, to be frank, is quite bizarre, but surely unique.
(it) wrote: There really is no reason for this film. It is so safe, cliched, terribly acted, and uninspired, that it seems the only glitter this film deserves is a glittering sign above it reading "Bargain Bin".
(ru) wrote: Somewhat slow and not action-packed by any means, but thought-provoking enough to make for an interesting watch. Williams performs wonderfully, and I found myself wondering why he isn't cast in serious films more often.
(mx) wrote: Can't remember this to save my life. Peter Bogdanovich really lost his touch later in his career.
(kr) wrote: Dialogue savoureux et situation absurdes qui s enchainent d'une maniere subilme. On peut QUE dire oui!!!
(au) wrote: It's like a dream. I bizarre, haunting, and yet compelling dream. Like a lot of Dracula adaptations, this takes place in a world that seems so unrealistic that it could never have happened, and maybe that's the point. Where else but in a dream could such mesmerizing and fantastical things happen? Only in a dream, or a Werner Herzog film, of course.
