John T (us) wrote: I'm a long-time cyclist and race fan, and resigned myself years ago to the certainty Lance was cheating. But it took this film to bring home the enormity of the crime, the depth of the betrayal, the realization that I've been watching a sociopath at work. Blinded by his brilliance as an athlete, and aware that all the other top riders were doping too, I made the mistake of lumping Armstrong in with the rest. But as it explores the lives of those who chose the truth and paid the price, this film reveals a personality type I now realize I have encountered a few times but luckily without loss -- probably because I had nothing they wanted. To me, the greatest of Armstrong's misdeeds has been to destroy competitive cycling as a sport Americans would want their kids to participate in. I urge those would-be racers not to lose faith -- there are genuine heros in the sport, and it's a sport they can enjoy throughout their lifetimes. I know -- I'm 65 and am enjoying cycling more than ever because it keeps me young.

John C (de) wrote: It is interesting how a truly horrible movie can damage a career, or contribute to the demise of one that is already failing. This movie featured some decent actors, (Van Peebles and Weathers), coupled with some attractive actresses that would have been better served by waiting for better roles, (McCauley and Watts). The plot was predictable, the effects were horrible, the script was pedantic, the acting by Elijah Chester (SecDef) and David Polinsky (Admiral) was truly aweful. I'm ashamed that I watched it and will avoid future "The Asylum" titles.
