But this movie, directed by "HALLOWEEN" director John Carpenter, is probably one of the scariest films to come out in quite a while. There are many jump scares throughout this film, which are very effective. They don't do the just to do them. The build up of suspense in this film is very eerie and creepy. The atmosphere is very scary and creepy. And the ending was very unexpected.

Well it's not like you get a musical number out of Harpo but you do get some of his marvelous harp playing. Grouch gets Chico & Harpo together for a football game for the university that's just as good as the comedy classic w/ the match The Stooges had. Chico calling the plays as he's going to hike the ball; Harpo bringing a horse drawn carriage into play; & Groucho even coming into action from coach. It's a sports comedy classic

When I was laughing in this picture I tilted my head so back I thought I was going to nose bleed. Although there some jokes that just don't work and aren't that memorable. The story is not very interesting but I wasn't bored by it, so I guess that's a win for both you and the movie. I really don't understand why some don't think it's that funny but humor is subjective like everything else and sometimes depending on the situation and time I can be made to laugh really easy. The performances from Seth Macfarlane is terrible, I didn't like him or his character Albert Stark in the movie he just felt like himself in a lame cowboy costume for Halloween. Even Liam Nesson I didn't like that much and he's barely in the movie which is kind of disappointing. Neil Patrick Harris and Charlize Theron are my two favorite actors in the film. They have the funniest scenes. The direction from Seth Macfarlane this time around is just terrible, I mean Seth man how could you sell out on me like this? You gave us Ted man, that's one of the few comedies I actually love. But now you give me this hunk of garbage, WHY!I did find myself enjoying this film at times, but I don't see all the elements of a good film present in this picture, I give A million Ways to Die Int The West a two out of five.
Manny C (br) wrote: Debuting filmmaker Kate Barker-Froyland is trusting of silence, particularly the silence that comes when two people don't talk. But when they do talk, oh boy, do things get bad. It's what happens when Franny (Anne Hathaway), studying anthropology in Morocco, comes back home to New York after her brother Henry (Ben Rosenfield), after he was put in a coma from getting hit by a cab. Franny has a plan to revive Henry by bringing him the sounds and smells that inspired the music he made. In the process she befriends and beds James Forester (Johnny Flynn), Henry's musical hero. It's creepy and pure contrivance.Hathaway's delicate, no-nonsense performance notwithstanding, Song One runs the gamut from wan to exhausting. Barker-Froyland is clearly going for the vibes that made 2007's Once such a keeper, as evident from the original songs that kick in now and then from indie-rock duo Jenny and Johnny. It's not happening.
