Filmed live, it was thrilling to feel as if you are a part of the audience sitting in Stratford-upon-Avon watching from the edge of the stage. The entire cast is fantastic, but when David Tennant is on screen you can't take your eyes off him. He is entrancing and manages subtly to turn our sympathies midway through. Nigel Lindsay and Jane Lapotaire stand out. Michael Pennington and Oliver Ford Davies are as good as ever. The music, featuring three sopranos, is haunting. The lighting and set drapings are beautiful. The pacing is a little off and I wish there had been a bit more care for the phrasing of the verse, which cost it a half-star.

An okay one timer: for a couple to watch on a slow evening. The pluses (+) that the film had are: both Seth David Mitchell & Britt Morgan gave good performances; the photography was decent for the lower budget that the film had, & the drama was decent when both actors were together. The minuses (-) that the film had are: the soundtrack was generic guitar in a lot of parts; other parts it was not so great at building the suspense, & when Britt Morgan had taken over on her own the feeling of loneliness was so greatly felt a lot of the entertainment was-taken by it.~I give this thriller suspense film a C + (Common)

Brian O (es) wrote: Could be great but.... It needs more plot and back story, or even after story. It could be a great movie just missing to much to make a complete story... People who love no sence movies like eraser head will like this movie. It could have been beyond awesome, I'd still watch this POS over eraser head....

Spencer P (br) wrote: Woody Allen's breakout is exceptionally crafted for a romantic comedy, with mature subtext, plenty of funny breaks in reality and great performances to go with them, but its relationship drives and sendoff opinion on what love is aren't universal.[Original rating: 4]

Josh M (de) wrote: Nothing makes this stand out in the action category. The plot is flawed and the action needs more excitement.
