Anatomy of Hell

Anatomy of Hell

A man rescues a woman from a suicide attempt in a gay nightclub. Walking the streets together, she propositions him: She'll pay him to visit her at her isolated house for four consecutive nights. There he will silently watch her. He's reluctant, but agrees. As the four nights progress, they become more intimate with each other, and a mutual fascination/revulsion develops. By the end of the four-day "contract", these two total strangers will have had a profound impact on each other.

Galvy F (it) wrote: When we see we just needed to escape out of the ordinary to see what we wanted all along. When we thought we would be extra ordinary to reveal later in life we do somethings that not many ordinary people would do in these situations when we see we pull others out of their troubles to see we have incredible strengths that don't last that long but thank God we have some people to have our backs and pull us out. When what makes one thing look like trash is finding it's missing pieces to put together and fix to make back ordinary again.

Tommaso D (kr) wrote: A really engaging feel-good comedy about the on-the-road adventures (and misadventures) of an ordinary (or maybe not) family. The cast don't deliver amazing performances as in this movie is the fast and twisty screenplay that does most part of the job. And it's more than enough.

JS L (us) wrote: "Tonight, a comedian died in New York." - RorschachBringing Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' masterful graphic novel to the screen was no small task, but this ambitious yet faithful adaptation realized my wildest reveries. This epic morality play about superheroes (and the humans within them) positions a juvenile genre into deeper waters. The nominal ensemble was cast with considerable risk for some truly rewarding performances. WATCHMEN stands alongside and recalls some of my favorite visions in modern cinema. It matches the multicolored and musically-charged New York City of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and the pulpy violence showcased in SIN CITY. The film even manages to make sense of the book's final chapter leaving me to wonder how else it could have improved with more variation.

Simon D (ru) wrote: A truly messed up film. It's not gory, surprisingly, but does contain so many taboo subjects that you know this was made just for it's shock factor. It is very original, daring and proper twisted.

Aaron D (fr) wrote: Recently rewatched this movie and it is still the best of the Ice Age movies. The animation for some reason does not hold up well. But the story here was unique at the time and the original core charcters were great. I also love the heart they had in the film. Too bad the sequels have just been rehashes of the road trip storyline. This could have been a special franchise now it is just a joke.

Tyler S (us) wrote: I dig this film...its just highly entertaining to see the situations these idiots are shoved into. Cameo voice over from Bruce willis Demi Moore...and Robert Stack make it even greater. Their one liners make you laugh and you can't help but to watch what these idiots get their selves into. They end up in the white house and busting the hoover dam among others.

Private U (kr) wrote: This is definitely worth a watch if you can catch it on TCM, or can find a cleaned up dvd version. It doesn't have the electricity of a Hitchcock but does come close because the actors are excellent and the twist in the story is (1) difficult to guess (2) makes sense rather than being tacked on at end. RW, the lead, is rarely a leading man but does an excellent job and his "benefactor" is such good eye candy. For folks with patience and love for good film, even in B&W and a bit of dated slang you won't be disappointed.
