Anna B (ca) wrote: Really excellent setup, with a fairly weak payoff. There's a point after which everything basically happens as you think it will, so it comes to a bit of an anti-climax. And Denham does not have the chops to sell his character's underlying anger; the moments where he lashes out just seem weird and wrong. Marling is good, however, and the movie's brave commitment to long scenes of conversation reminded me of Breaking Bad (in a good way). Rough around the edges but overall good.

Eliabeth M (mx) wrote: "Can they really live a normal life after porn?"Siento que le falta algo a este documental. Ms profundidad a la vida de las personas entrevistadas y ms preguntas. Adems es bastante deprimente y me hubiera gustado ver alguna historia exitosa, ya que esto segura que la hay.

Randy T (ag) wrote: An inept ghost story that tries far too hard to be Ringu or Ju-on.

Craig W (ca) wrote: I only watched this for Busey but to be fair it was actually a pretty good film, it was really well done I thought. The story was pretty cool and plausible, the demon thing looked cool and although we didn't see it often which added to it as we had to use our imagination more it was alright. The suspense was all there too, it just kinda lost itself at the end and the last 20 minutes were a bit rushed and slapped together. Still not bad and yes, Busey is still nuts.

Matus C (es) wrote: For me, best movie ever. The kind that when it ends, you know you've seen the movie of your life and, even if you watch it all over again a 100 times it will never be the same.

Collin T (br) wrote: Very very underrated film with top notch acting from the whole cast and I think a very intense thriller.

Evan R (ru) wrote: I can understand the impact this film made at the time and why it deserves its Oscar. This film literally change the face of Christian America. However it loses a couple of points because I can only enjoy so many hours so constant, crazy preaching, speaking "in tongues" and flailing on the floor.

Timothy M (fr) wrote: Excellent. A really well-made tribute to a couple of B-western stars. I think McCrea is a better actor than Scott, but Scott surprisingly handles the humour very, very well. I don't think much of the other two leads, but the pack of antagonists that includes L.Q. Jones and Warren Oates are great. Peckinpah's hand is less evident visually here (obviously he had to develop, duh) but the common themes are there, front and centre.

Martin T (nl) wrote: Pretty good prison genre flick, done with a lot of Dassin's noir style but falters in a few areas. Despite a delightfully evil performance by Hume Cronyn as the sadistic chief guard, the character is rather over-the-top. Also the prisoners are such a nice bunch of guys, one would think that nobody deserves to be incarcerated. The flashbacks to their romantic lives on the outside were really hokey. Overall, however, not a bad movie at all, and easily watchable.

David J (kr) wrote: It was as competent and unspecial as it could be.
