Leo K (ru) wrote: A dark drama, not very comedic movie about a man who simply wants to save his city. Take batman, and plant him in the real world, except with a little bit more realism, and a lot more charisma. Recommended for a quaint superhero slash realworld action movie.

Train M (jp) wrote: #Trucker /B/ Predictable from basically the first frame, but it's still a pretty good film. Nice performances from the three leads.

Margaret W (jp) wrote: Yes, another love story, but not the least bit formulaic, and it celebrates survirors. It is very slow, but extremely powerful, and demonstrates how two wounded people can heal one another, even as they have closed out everyone and everything else in their worlds. Josef (Tim Robbins) is temporarily blinded in an oil-rig accident, and falls in love with Hanna (Sarah Polley), his extremely shy nurse, and the beautiful woman she is on the inside. One of the lovliest and exultant endings in a film, well worth a patient person's time and attention.

Alfredo S (kr) wrote: Dreamworks attempts to be hip and witty, but fails by being dull, giving an insulting waste of a talented cast, and what's possibly one of the ugliest worst animated films of all time

Paul D (mx) wrote: Plenty of top-names put a lot of effort into this sensitive real-life story. James Woods' performance as the unmovable racist is very notable.

Chayc (fr) wrote: Faithful to the book and holds up. Creepy and the last quarter can be quite scary.

Luke M (ca) wrote: three insecure, irritating, lovable middle-class men cope with the death of their good friend by refusing to return home after the funeral - another painfully real Cassavetes classic

Voldemort no convence. 3/10: Muy Mala.

Dinesh P (nl) wrote: Amazing cast, Amazing world of betting but the film flounders it all with a very weak screenplay. Film looses it steam mid way. The worst part is the third act. Only watchable for the talented cast

Jack G (au) wrote: equally stupid and awesome, illogical and hilarious, it's like Kaufman (not to be confused with the director of Synecdoche, NY) has a schitzo sense of how to do a horror movie and/or a comedy, and sometimes it totally clicks and we're with the characters, and other times it just doesn't make much sense (for example, one of the hicks is a cop... huh?) It does have a killer (pun intended) last five minutes though... that is if you cut out the very last shot of the movie. It's a cut above other Troma fare, and certainly as far as girl-revenge horror flicks go I'd eagerly put this in someone's hands before I Spit on Your Grave. But it's not something right at the top of your radar.
