Andrew U (it) wrote: Equal parts hilarious, vile, and demented, elevated by top-notch performances across the board led by a magnetic McConaughey.

Michael V (nl) wrote: "Decent movie. Juno Temple is very good as the very desperate, wild & tired girl who wants out of her boring little hometown and Kay Panabaker is convincing as the careful & cautious best friend who wants no trouble. A nice runaway decent indie drama."

Sean D (ru) wrote: Medicore and boring film. I expect this sequel to be better, but not by much. And then we have Eric Roberts, well he played in quite a few films including The Master in the 1996 Doctor Who movie.

Christian C (us) wrote: From director James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross), Confidence is just another sort of smart, cool and stylish con movie. The pieces are right (the problem is, you know that it's right). I'm overdosed in stories like this. You can see from the beginning its ending, right when Paul Giamatti stood up from the dead in the start, and you'll know Edward Burns (I didn't like the way he narrates the film) is going to do the same thing and carry the happy ending in his back, it's expectable unless you're dumb. But that is the thrill in movies like this, having to see how it's done, how they pretend it's smart.

Gareth J (ru) wrote: I sincerely wish I'd missed this one. A film with only one single redeeming feature: it ends. The characters are all utterly destestable, mindlessly sedistic and innanely boring. The plot is... there is no plot. Two one-dimentional criminals tear up the neighbourhood without drive or motivation. Their antics eventually lead to them pissing off the local mister big, who has their family accidently killed by a bungling bent cop. Who cares? The parents were as utterly detestable, mindless and innanely boring as everyone else. The two 1D crims get their own back, the end. The baddies, kill the baddies and get away with it all... Marvelous. Should have had an Oscar, they normally give them away to shit movies... Oh yeah, I'd give Swansea a miss as well...

AW C (es) wrote: Gay porn and melodrama. Sickening and pointless and not at all entertaining or interesting. It feels like a foreign film from the 80s.

Paul D (us) wrote: Gentile comedy good for a family watch, not the best but not the worst though.

James H (ag) wrote: Cute story but it's not particularly memorable. The cast does a good enough job and Benji is of course very smart and adorable. It's hard not to like a dog movie.

Craig B (jp) wrote: Mind horror - couldn't make head or tail of it, but liked the images all the same.

Janice W (au) wrote: Hey, it is worth it to meet the dogs in the film.

Jan P (de) wrote: Daniel Day-Lewis is excels in this expose' of the inhumanity of the British government in their inept dealings with what they though was the IRA.

Barney o (ru) wrote: WHAT I LIKED: There's no doubt that Titanic is a properly classic Hollywood blockbuster - another film made by James Cameron because it's what he wanted, and what he wanted alone. Was his vision a good one here? Well its boldness is enough to truly transcend genre, and that statement alone will often slap a smile on the face. Beneath that gargantuan size though, it does equally pack some charm which mostly comes from the talent of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet who both somehow push past the silliness and put their own occasionally believable stamp on these roles.WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: Let's be honest here, it is rather dumb, and its length is an awful long time to sit through something that just kind of makes you smile without really investing or moving you along.VERDICT: A bold, classic vision that's just a little bit stupid - 'Titanic' will make you smile, but not for three and a bit hours.
