(it) wrote: This movie was not nearly as good as I thought it would be. I am a Keri Russell fan, I think she's talented and beautiful but this film wasn't one of my favorites, definitely not one I'll ever buy or watch again.
(es) wrote: A comedy about curling. The fact that Leslie Nielsen is in it, and that it was produced after 1995 gives a good clue how good it is. Includes brooms on ice.
(mx) wrote: ...I mean, it's not terrible. Radha Mitchell is fantastic, and most of the time the movie is good, but sometimes it tries so hard to be "unflinching" in its tragedy that it just comes off desperate, or faintly ridiculous. Shame on them for the car accident; what, SIDS isn't upsetting enough, they needed a neck brace to really bring it on home? And screw the depressing subject matter, Megan Mullally being warm and matronly is the most depressing thing I've ever seen.

(mx) wrote: Not bad. Charlie Sheen does well. Martin Sheen acts crazy. Ending sucks.

(jp) wrote: I dislike racism, so I didn't particularly like the limited views of indians westerns often hand to the viewer, but the movie was entertaining at least for the first half. The movie seemed longer than it really was, I don't know why. The acting was fine, but it looked a bit silly seeing Burt Lancaster and the beautiful Jean Peters tanned to look like American native indians. It didn't work too well.. I also found it denigrating to put the real american indians to stand at the background and jump up scared at the sound of the train whistle like scared animals (very uncharacteristic to the warriors the Apache were told to be). It was also odd how Massai was first a bad male schauvinist macho, but suddenly becomes a caring individual. Somehow, I didn't quite believe the scope of the change in Massai's character. This was a refreshingly open minded western, touching on the subject of the American Indians plight, but yet, not that I'm an expert on the subject, gives a rather limited view of it.

(gb) wrote: Has some really great moments throughout, but I feel it drags a bit too much in parts to be among Spielberg's top tier. Still I hate that it's taken this long for me to see it.
(kr) wrote: Awesome music and top notch performances!!!
