jim w (de) wrote: Briliant of audience. I think nobody could really write straight synopsis to this film. As elegant as the films always and a stage-performance respectful display. A Great and gentle film.

Ricky A (nl) wrote: As all Studio Ghiblis movies, is super cute, entertained and a must watch

Kenneth B (kr) wrote: I'm fairly certain I haven't laughed since PA 2. Which is must be 5 hours or so of Police Academy without even a giggle. That is grim, even the Scary Movie sequels raised a faint titter from time to time.

Bob L (it) wrote: For 1958, this is a corker! All the paranoia of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers with shades of The Wicker Man, and shot with a style that Hammer would adopt later on. The effects are a bit shakey, but ambitious for the time. Brilliant. But don't bother with 'Curse Of The Demon' which is the U.S. release with 15 minutes hacked out of it.

Trent R (us) wrote: Late-era Eurowestern that amps up the gory violence and exploitation, no surprise coming from Claudio Fragasso (Troll 2) & zombie schlockmeister Bruno Mattei. The Soldier Blue influence is as evident as I'd read, though here it is more explicit about the on screen bloodletting than having characters spell out its thematic importance. It has a polished look, and is interesting in contrast to earlier genre efforts of this type as well as for being an unusual effort for these directors.
