This is a hilarious comedy, with an extra, less obvious, layer of comic value in how genuine the "stoner" performances can be. Even the dramatic sequences have subtle dark elements of comedy, without detracting from the overall seriousness of events. John C McGinley's somewhat short performance had me in stitches the entire time.

Sean C (gb) wrote: Another great gritty 70s drama, featuring the hallmarks of the era: superb acting, flawed characters, and an unhappy ending. This is a great film to understand the end of the union era in America. Richard Pryor is particularly good.

This is an example of how important a good script and interesting characters are. I particularly like the last episode, which was particularly hillarious lol The actors all did fabulously ^_^
