Gary C (ca) wrote: I'm a big fan of The Marx Brothers, but this, their second last outing, doesn't really count. Even the DVD cover is a bit of a cheat; Groucho and Marilyn are hardly in it. The Marx formula was always Groucho's insightful wit centre stage, with some vaudevillian slapstick and musical turns from Harpo and Chico as comic asides. This however has none of Groucho's trademark banter (he just occasionally provides brief narration) and is all musical numbers and Harpo's clowning. It may get a few laughs from young children, but otherwise, it's not enough to carry an entire film.

Justin P (nl) wrote: A very rushed Justice League origin piece that has very impressive moments here and there; yet can't help but feel squashed by a last-minute threat and nulling set-ups. Essentially, it's an animated version of The Avengers, with DC characters, and wasted opportunity for its villain. However, thanks to a select few good characters and stylistic animation, this one becomes more of an "okay" versus "bad" or "good".

Deepak S (ag) wrote: Brilliant, darkly funny and era-defining portrayal of the down-and-out, drug-addled lives of a group of Edinburgh friends who are seemingly on a path of mutual self-destruction, to an absolutely rollocking soundtrack. Far from glamourising heroin use, its raw and often brutal portrayal of its consequences is enough to put anyone off from experimenting (hence why it was shown to us in school during PSHE lessons!).
