Surely one of the most beautiful films ever made, a dark, haunting, confusing and gorgeous film. Probably the greatest cinematography and images ever committed to film.

Jeff B (de) wrote: A relatively enjoyable film, albeit questionable as to its merit. The story of the suppression of Margaret Keane has relevance in regards to the sexual revolution. As John Lennon sang, "woman is the n**** of the world," or those receiving their greater rights as an after thought to that of blacks. And one cannot judge or look down upon women of the time for acting as Margaret did for some time. One does not simply overcome a social norm by oneself over night. Considering the above, the movie has its place. And, of course, with Adams and Waltz holding down the leads, you couldn't ask for better acting. I have no idea as to how close the story is to the original, but knowing Hollywood, I'm sure there were a few embellishments. Overall, well done but nothing outstanding of note here in any regard.
