Claire T (mx) wrote: it was ok but not as good as the first casper film, it starred Hilary Duff and Shelley Duvall (The Shining), it was ok but I don't want to see it again

Don E (kr) wrote: Some good twists of the plot...however in the end you are not sure why Sabich was double crossed by his boss to the point of manufactured evidence.

Serge L (br) wrote: I had seen this film years ago and now again. Nice contrast between the girls. Ordinary adventures somewhat funny, somewhat thoughtful. This time I watched it at 2,5 times the normal speed and it was okay. The whole thing didn't drag. This must be a child film. I would think Rainette is lesbian and the other curious, but nothing is shown in this department.

Kevin R (ag) wrote: This film was supposed to be my big break.A known short film documentary director is presented with a chance to launch her career by making a documentary on a lost African tribe. As she takes her film crew out on the Amazon, a quack tour guide with his own ambitions takes her crew off the beaten trail and into a snake den. He wishes to catch an Anaconda to make them all rich. The trip may not turn out successful for anyone."I was up all night pulling leaches off my scrotum."Luis Llosa, director of The Speciliast, Fire on the Amazon, Sniper, The Feast of the Goat, Crime Zone, and Hour of Assassin, delivers Anaconda. The storyline for this picture is fairly disappointing and in line with most monster movies. The special effects and acting were below average. The cast includes Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz, Owen Wilson, Danny Trejo, and Kari Wuhler."Today's a good day."I came across this gem on Netflix and decided to watch it again. I remembered how bad this was when it first came out and decided to give it another shot. I was just as disappointed by this picture as when I first viewed it, but it was fun to watch this film again. This is one of those movies that had hype when it came out and dramatically disappointed. Overall, I'd recommend skipping this unless you enjoy bad horror movies."Snakes don't eat people."Grade: D

Jayakrishnan R (ru) wrote: 76%Saw this on 7/5/15Marc Forster, no stranger to mind boggling films( 2005 film Stay), makes an attempt at making something as innovative as Groundhog Day( well it was in its time), but no matter what, Stranger than Fiction ultimately struggles and falls into the feel good film genre that it so desperately parodies and it's story (the one written by Emma Thompson's character) is not as poetic as it self-proclaims to be. It definitely has it's moments, with Will Farrell and Emma Thompson giving credible performances. It's premise is quite interesting, but no matter how pretentious it tries to be, in the end it's too damn predictable and straightforward. Dustin Hoffman is simply wasted here.
