Jeff B (au) wrote: Well, this was certainly a different film. It's basically two different films, the first half dealing with a soldier and a farmer boy who have a romantic relationship together, and the second half deals with a hunter searching for a tiger (who shapefits into a human) that is killing the livestock. The first half is pretty straightforward (and, unfortunatley, a bit tedious I felt) while the second half is much more poetic and mysterious. I can see how the two stories are related, but I much preferred the second half of the film. There were parts from the first half I enjoyed though, the cave sequence was nice and I enjoyed the tale of the monk. But I wish the film stayed like the second half where it went into a fable. I also couldn't help but notice that there was a mention of Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (and certainly helped pave the way for the second half of the film). Anyway, there were some very nice visual. particularly in the second half (the tree at night and the ghostly cattle) and the sound was excellent. But the first half went too slow for me and didn't flow like the second half.
Joe M (kr) wrote: A strange concept of making a movie out of a TV show, that is about watching a movie. The mystery science theater 3000 film, plays exactly like the TV show. They watch a Science fiction B-film and make fun of it. The only difference that I can see is less commercials or pauses. The film they watched did allow for some great jokes, but not everything they say is funny so there are some down periods in the film as well. I didn't know that MST3K had so much plot as well, but the show was usually on late and I was young and had to be at school in the morning. Overall good if you are a fan of the show, and probably better than a general episode because not as many commercials, however it does not need to be a film.

Robert M (nl) wrote: Seagal when are you going to realise you have passed your Sell by Date this Old School Action Wannabe was a big let down unsurprisingly, the opening action scene was good which from then on went straight downhill with Seagal weazing through the movie rather than actually speaking it made him once again rather hard to hear. Also once again the Villains were very wooden as in previous Seagal movies, looking like they didnt really care being on the set ( not that I can blame them ) acting overall was just sloppy and as usual the overall movie looked rushed. Lack of coreography and continuity in the Action Scenes, hoards of people being shot down like standing timber with nothing more than a small automatic weapon which is silly in my opinion. This is purely a movie for Seagal Loyalists nothing more used to be one but not anymore !
