This time after her life is threatened a woman who is a mafia witness goes in hiding and now chris and bill have to go on another stakeout at a lakeside retreat to find her and keep her out of danger. They are not alone though because they get teamed up with Gina from the DA. Dreyfuss and Estevez are again very funny throughout the movie. Just like the first movie it has that good combination of comedy and action although I think the plot could be a tad better. Rosie O'Donnell doesn't really supply any laughs and at times is a little annoying. Her character doesn't really do anything to help so its a useless and pointless character. Its almost like they kinda just threw her out there. They should have left it just dreyfuss and estevez. Oh well, it was still a good action movie that left me plenty entertained.
Andy C (gb) wrote: As others have pointed out this would be a painfully unwatchable film without the help and support of the MST3K commentary I watched it with. The hobgoblins in question are actually space aliens locked up in a vault on a film set following an off screen previous bout of antics. So it turns out the the hobgoblins read your mind and make your wishes come true, but always in a kind if shitty way that will ruin your life or kill you. Thanks to an inept new security guard the low budget space gremlins are turned loose and the antics begin...god help us all.
