Mark James A (ru) wrote: The jokes were kinda smart and the characters were actually fun to watch but there are times that it could get overrated, vapid and dispiriting. Besides, the entire film is way too short that it seems like a working progress. Yes, it was trashy but what'd you expect? It's a spoof and this shouldn't really be taken seriously.
Andrew T (ca) wrote: This movie is just all over the place. The whole time I felt like it was very rushed. It jumped from scene to scene too quickly as well. I like where the idea was going but feel like it was poorly executed. The acting wasn't the worst I've seen in a low budget horror flick but it wasn't even close to the best. I think this falls back to how rushed things feel. We don't stay with any one character long enough to really care. I have to just mention that Bud was one of the worst characters I've ever seen and by worst I mean laughable. It brought the movie down.

Adam M (ag) wrote: As much as I like Joe Dante, I can only like a few of the jokes in his sketches; the work of the other guys is even worse. Landis' sketch with Arsenio seems to want to take black upward mobility down a notch with a couple old stereotypes. Ed Begley, Rosanna Arquette, Carrie Fisher and Andrew Dice Clay don't come off bad.

En effet, on s'ennuie quand meme pas mal devant ce road movie d'une lenteur incroyable, mis en image par un SPIELBERG qui realisera bien mieux lors de la suite de sa carriere. MICHAEL SACKS est excellent.

Alex A (ca) wrote: Earth to Echo easily could have been a solid family flick but fell short unfortunately thanks to an underwhelming script. The found-footage gimmick was unnecessary, the performances were too obvious, the dialogue was too corny even for my suspension of disbelief, and Echos background story wasn't delved into enough for me to feel attached and impacted when he departed. Little kids may enjoy it, but adult viewers who've seen E.T. will see the obvious inspiration Earth to Echo garners from it, and fails to match.
