(br) wrote: Such a sad movie!! It's like the older, lesbian version of "The Notebook". A love for the ages between the characters. Sharon Gless is fantastic (there are still some signs of Chris Cagney in her. LOL!) Well acted by all -- I didn't dig the younger Hannah much -- but thank goodness for Sharon Gless. The humor in it keeps it from being overly tedious. It has a total indie feel to it as well. Cute, sad, yet kinda uplifting movie.

Ive revisted some of the has beens in recent weeks and although the van dammes and snipes movies arent masterpieces they where at best watchable but this is dire. Seagal as the emotional range of a constipated duck, is way way out of shape and looks like he just cant be arsed. This guy made some great action movies in the 90s, I grew up on this fella and loved the Out for Justice, Hard to Kill, Marked for death movies now he is and will continue to be an has been. As for the movie I still dont know what the hell was supposed to be going on, the plot was all over, acting awful and action scenes like something from a power rangers episode and not one person gets "pistol whipped".

(mx) wrote: It's unbelievable the rush you get after finishing each try to get the money. The fact that you don't know everything about anyone but at the same time you know them and what kinda person they are makes it so easy to skip the whole character development bullshit. I liked every minute of it!.

From the first second and for most of its duration, this is a super-tight, intense affair that manages to be inventive enough for a film of this type. When Michelle Yeoh's Wai Lin half-jokingly calls Brosnan's Bond "decadent", thanks to the movie's quality you feel the urge to point out that he is anything but.
