(jp) wrote: An emotive perspective of the American Civil rights movement, presented with a level of class and elegance making this movie as much an experience as a story. The awakening of the Butler mirrors the awakening of a nation as both mature and develop through the inescapable path demanded by their morality, character and integrity. A journey that will inevitably render the discerning viewer a person of improved character.

(mx) wrote: Judge Dredd fails on every technical aspect of conceptual depth and coherent storytelling, but its generic special effects, campy action, over-the-top acting, and unintentional hilarity makes it worth watching as a guilty pleasure.
(jp) wrote: I loved this movie! It might feel a little dated but it tells the story of every immigrant from the young kids who are assimilated to the older women who haven't forgotten and definitely haven't moved beyond the cultures of their home country - India and the ones who are in-between and conflicted about losing their identity and family when they want to move beyond the insular world of their Indian background.
(kr) wrote: This one is boring and not really worth watching. The acting is average with sloppy dialogue. The story although based on a real story is badly portrayed. William is the only reason I watched because I like him but it's not up to his standards. If you see this one skip it.

(jp) wrote: Despite being yet another movie about robots developing the possibility of free will (also taking into account when it was made), it had it's moments despite being incredibly cheesy/corny. Also, it was hilarious when they almost blew up the "Crimebuster-Bot" with a logical paradox. If you're a film cult geek, don't miss the brief cameos of Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov who later starred in "Eating Raoul".

(au) wrote: I loved Artie Shaw and Paulette Goddard but I found the constant repetition of competitiveness to be a little unwieldy by the end. I also wasn't a huge fan of the end itself. It confused me that one person gets screwed throughout the movie and isn't rewarded for it at the end while the instigator and jealous lead, of course, gets the girl and the job.
(kr) wrote: It supposed to be great historical drama... It came out silly.
(mx) wrote: An ok story but needed flashing out a lot better. Animation style is 1940's and is a nice addition.
(jp) wrote: ok this movie was indeed bad, it was an old film and probably had some of the worst acting ive ever seen in a movie, however, the movie was great fun. There are parts that are so stupid u laugh to them but i dont care what anyone says there are parts when millions of worms are just spewing form every corner its gross and that is what makes the movie. To bad it dosent last all that long.

(br) wrote: After finishing the series i was excited to watch the film. Alfie Wickers and his class return for a school trip to cornwall and typical insanity and hilarity ensues. What i liked about this film is that is felt like an extended episode and stayed loyal to the series. The same humour and all the same characters and more, the bad education movie is a perfect finisher for the series.
(kr) wrote: The situation gets more and more complicated as Jack Harris digs himself into a deeper and deeper hole but it keeps the viewer interested in finding out how it will all resolve.
