(it) wrote: Riveting and action-packed, District 13: Ultimatum is a high-energy adventure. When a covert government agency attempts to provoke civil unrest in District 13 in order to force the President to launch a military strike, Leito and Damien must join forces once again and unite the district's gang leaders in order to expose the government conspiracy. The plot's pretty formulaic and the villains are one-dimensional stereotypes. But, the action sequences add a lot of energy to the film and gives it a fast pace. Additionally, the fight choreography is especially impressive, and has a good mixture of martial art styles. A fun and entertaining action film, District 13: Ultimatum is an exciting addition to the series.

The storyline for this movie was fascinating, primarily because it was based on a larger than life real person that we all recognize. The characters were dynamic and the dialogue was solid. The cast delivers better than average performances and includes Faye Dunaway, Diana Scarwid, Steve Forrest, and Rutanya Alda."You love to make me hit you."This is another movie I have been ashamed to say I had never seen. I had heard stories about this picture, but I still found it very compelling and interesting. This is another one of those movies that sends you on a Wikipedia research project. Overall, this is a very entertaining movie that is borderline good enough to add to your DVD collection. "When you were a kid that made you look sexy. Now it just makes you look drunk."Grade: A

Totally out there and enjoyable to an extent for its perversely bizarre nature, fans of Rocky Horror and Forbidden Zone will get the most out of it. (You weirdos.)
