David B (mx) wrote: It's Wacky Races meets Grand Theft Auto in this cult classic from the 1970s where a dystopian American society gleefully tunes into an annual race across America where points are scored by running over innocent pedestrians, with pensioners and children offering the biggest scores. Among this year's contenders are hot-headed Machine Gun Joe Viterbo (Sylvester Stallone) and two-time champion Frankenstein (David Carradine), who seems to lose a body part every time he races. You'd think a new career might be on the cards. The latest race threatens to be scuppered by a resistance group who are hell-bent on sabotaging all of the drivers but what is their ultimate objective? Lots of racing, violence, camp and colourful outfits, hyper TV personalities, with some cheesy acting thrown in make this one an interesting concoction. By no means brilliant but certainly not bad either.

Anna B (nl) wrote: Pretty goofy, and not really in a fun way. The vaguely noirish plot is actually pretty interesting for a while, no thanks to the lifeless direction and Heston's neck kerchief, but the second half is very heavily reliant on you not knowing the reveal, leaving not much intrigue from then until the abrupt ending. I couldn't tell if the treatment of the female characters was supposed to be satirical or just straight-up sexist, but either way it's fairly baffling and tone deaf. Some pretty amazing stunts though!

Kyle M (kr) wrote: The return to the world of "Monsters, Inc." is pleasantly entertaining in this colorful prequel that was fashioned in a similar style of a prequel in the storyline's exploration to being better than the original as this is Pixar's unique classic in that form, as well being one of the best of the college flicks. Bill B (au) wrote: This one has a special place in my heart based on numerous rentals with friends in the early '2000s. It is filled with memorable lines and some truly over the top violence and make up that's still pretty freaky to look at even all these years later.Linnea Quigley steals the show in her magnificently slutty tutu and eventual freaky make-up, making this a must watch for fans of '80s horror.Recommended.

Brian R (ag) wrote: Original Sin. Angelina Jolie's character is up for execution only to tell the reason of how she ended up held captive to a priest. Jolie's character explains her past story where she traveled to an exotic land, meets and marries a wealthy guy(Banderas) Jolie's character has another motive. Too steal and run off with her husbands money. The story becomes a cat and mouse game where the husband, now betrayed, ventures off to find his wife and to turn the tables. The performances is quite good. Jolie and Banderas seem to be a good fit even when they happen to be chasing each other through the film's plot. The ending feels a little bit unbelivable but it's still a nice touch of smoothness to the tale.
