Sure, you could easily write this off as product placement for haunted houses in Texas, but, if you just watch the movie for what it is it's actually quite scary. I mean, imagine going on a road trip to go to some haunted houses and some of the workers start following you, it's a very scary thought. Those looking for a movie with jump scares can let their expectations fall, but if you're more into atmosphere then this is your movie. First film to give me anxiety while watching, turns out, I don't like haunted houses, even if I'm just watching them.

(us) wrote: A sort of original sequel to Ringu, it unfortunately did not impress too much. The film is certainly much more faithful to the book, but this in turn destroys the paranormal elements. Instead of a horror we have a medical science fiction thriller. Too much exposition and explanation destroys the fear of the original. As it turned out Ringu 2 was no bed of roses either and this is a rather fascinating film even if it only excels in failure. Fans of the books or the ever increasing Ring saga should not miss this.
(de) wrote: I watched this low budget horror anthology film when I was in elementary school and have recently redsicovered it on YouTube. This movie is sort of like Creepshow for kids. Three kids are camping in one's backyard telling different stories to scare each other. There are three short gross-out, urban legend inspired stories along with two main stories about a monster disguised as an elementary school janitor and the other about a fat kid named Gordy Belcher who has a strange obssession with flies. The movie is cheesy and harmless, but far from a classic.

(fr) wrote: I thought it was a valiant effort for a low budget film. It had a better than average story and some sets and effects with a sense of style.
(kr) wrote: "Graduation Day" is an early 80s slasher starring Christopher George (City of the Living Dead, Pieces). The story is of a highschool track athlete who dies of a heart attack just before graduation and someone in a fencing outfit is killing the rest of the students on her team. Some creative kills, such as the (spoiler) pole vaulting landing. Linnea Quigley plays a small role as a bad student willing to trade sex for good grades.

(au) wrote: Loved this movie, sweet message, totally clean no bad content of any type.
(mx) wrote: Incredibly engaging, somewhat cynical and very funny storytelling with simple but effective sets and lighting that really complement the pleasantly rambling, idiosyncratic monologues without taking away from their impact
