Craig W (ag) wrote: Awful, awful film! Considering it was made in 2006 it looks so old and cheesy. If it was not for Perlman it would have been one of the worst film's I have ever seen.

AndrClaude L (au) wrote: The film was alright, not great. While the plot is more or less recycling T2, we got to see more of John Connor before Judgment Day. And we got to see the world end! I'm glad they ended it with a feeling of hopelessness

Rosemarie S (mx) wrote: good & real & suspenseful about art dealing & solving a murder... Helen Mirren was fantastic...

Christopher S (de) wrote: All the pieces for a solid 80s homage to Noir - even has some good funny bits, as befits a Reynolds vehicle - but it's not tight enough to have the right tension. Pity.

Trent R (fr) wrote: Not one of the better killer kid flicks, this is often literally in slow-motion. The adults are stupid, but not in a manner that lends sympathy to their tormentors. Boring, with a couple of mildly creative kills that Leif Garrett completists may enjoy.

Jacquelyn C (mx) wrote: The whole thing with the dress was a device to frame the struggles of three young women navigating young adulthood, that is, finding love, being competent and getting along with others, even your friends that you hate. The performances put in by Isla Fisher (as the dumb girl), Lizzy Caplan (as the damaged one), and Kirsten Dunst (as the uptight perfectionist) were great. Even Rebel Wilson, who didn't get much screen time, put in a great nuanced performance of a sweet nice girl with bitchy friends. She is a character that exists in nature and it's nice that she's being portrayed as the one who gets the guy. No, this is not a deep movie, and yes, it's a knock off Bridemaids, but each of the scenes are pretty rock solid from the one character's theory on blow jobs to the perfectionist character's devastating realization that she'd done everything right and still come up empty. Other zingers: "No, because at least French was hard" (a totally unintended pun referring to Joe's penis when he leaves the dumb girl poolside--), "I think you meant Potsdam" (followed by a mini monologue putting the perfectionist in her place which quickly leads to...), "We're g to g" (Dunst exuding great chemistry with her object of flirtation for the evening). The ending is--you know--but I've seen worse endings. I couldn't help but notice that something like 75% of the reviews featured by the critics were from men.

Daniel R (fr) wrote: True story about the life of Tobias Wolf, who in his teens moves with his mom and new step dad to rural Oregon, where his new family awaits. The teen is soon surprised to learn that his new home has strict discipline enforced by his new stepfather and will soon endure physical and verbal abuse by the hands of his stepfather as well. DeNiro is remarkable as the arrogant breadwinner and DiCaprio (in his first featured role) is equally mesmerizing as he portrays a young man, although troubled, is genuine and frightened of his new lifestyle, This drama is no classic by any means but it is a compelling biopic.
