Kat H (br) wrote: A labor of love from an intelligent and original team of people. So refreshingly free of predictability and formula, and so very human. Brava!

Michele A (es) wrote: very good message...especially for young men who feel abandoned by their father

Mabel B (ag) wrote: It's an amazing movie. An eye-opening movie. A must watch.

Dave S (es) wrote: Well, if it wasn't for the great looking men and full frontal nudity, this would be a movie I would never have watched the whole way through. I am glad the lead was worth watching. If you like real sex scenes then skip to the deleted scenes. Nice! anyway - - - not much to say about the movie.

Jepa P (jp) wrote: With much effort this can be watched to the end without knowledge (or much interest) of the french school of thought... ;)

Andruw F (ru) wrote: I've seen this so many times, and it's still so great and so hilarious! The performances are all great, and the actors are committed to their roles! Excellent script and writing, and the characters are great! They took a pretty generic road trip/travel plot and made it unique and hilarious! This is a classic!

Michael W (ru) wrote: An unhappy orphan is transported to the land of faraway for a magical adventure. Feels like an attempt at a Euro Neverending Story but fails to deliver on the fantasy. Features a young Christian Bale; Abba's Benny & Bjorn contribute music too.

Jacob G (it) wrote: I cannot criticize this film for the direction it went; after all, it is intending to mix politics with everything else. Be that as it may, I'm a stupid American who can barely comprehend current American politics, let alone the politics of some other country from 40+ years ago. Most of that went flying way over my head. The stuff about Wilhelm Reich was interesting, though I got the feeling that this film wasn't intending to instruct on any level because I don't feel instructed at all. So if I had my druthers, trade me weird politics for moar Reich.

Dannick L (kr) wrote: This film and the novel by Jacqueline Susann has been blasted by critics and I honestly don't know why. The book itself has character, and the movie, even though at times different, is unique and fresh. This movie is very ahead of it's time and shows the ups and many downs of show business. Sex, alcohol and "dolls", this movie is a hilarious version of the book and has it's own cult following. I enjoyed this in it's entirety as I did with the novel.

David T (es) wrote: Wasn't my favorite William Castle picture but still innovative.

Cliff M (fr) wrote: Exceptional acting talent on display as these two wilful natural leads come to loggerheads. Gripping drama.
