Dan B (kr) wrote: What appears to be a minor boxing noir turns out to be that rare thing " a perfect film. Technically brilliant, (but unshowy) with nothing wasted; characters are vividly evoked in just a few lines, while the simple story plays out honestly and in real time. A modest masterpiece.
Thomas B (de) wrote: Grade - B-This review is of the Director's Cut-'Watchmen' is truly a beautiful thing to behold, with Zack Snyder really outdoing himself. It's easily his best movie to date, with a complex yet fluent narrative, great performances and an different (but awesome) soundtrack. Although its running time is far too long, the last 30 minutes are touch-and-go, and the movie has to deal with arguably too many plot points, Watchmen succeeds as both an adaptation of the graphic novel and as a movie in its own right. Definitely underrated.
Jamie W (jp) wrote: Thirty years ago he fought for his country. Now, he's fighting for his honor. Although this was a tv movie, and it does not follow the book (who cares), it's a great film. The ending is so poignant-when the main character is court martialed and has to spill out his word of honor. I admire that character. Send the same chills as the movie "The General's Daughter" with John Travolta.

Jared G (es) wrote: I remember liking it a lot when I was younger but a dozen years later it was a little TOO "quirky" and "offbeat" for my taste. It was just too far fetched and the characters and story line weren't compelling enough to hold my interest. Also, the scene with the chickens was disturbing and not funny.
Kristal C (ca) wrote: I love the film's air of trashy fun but the build up for the final showdown was too long which made it feel kind of anti-climactic. Still, good times all around. I love this era of exploitation.
