Now, they exist just because they have existed and it feels like the law to obey them. This film captures that in a great way and I commend Kirby Dick for doing a phenomenal job with this film.
Adrian F (jp) wrote: wild america is a pretty decent movie based on a true story. its about 3 brothers who bring a camera and venture out into the wilderness. the story line is pretty good and the acting is surprisingly not terrible. although its a bit over the top and unbelievable at times, its still pretty entertaining and gives us a good look into nature. its a good family film that is well directed and has good scenery. it has some good well humored jokes and situations as well.

Robert R (gb) wrote: This is a clear exercise in why historical films shouldn't be treated as just history lessons. It managed to take a fairly worthy premise and bludgeon it to near death with an overall lack of urgency or stakes, an unbearable reliance on lengthy passages of circular dialogue, and a permeating feeling of disinterest exuded by nearly every cast member other than Peter O'Toole. And, try as he may to inject this thing with as much scenery-munching vim and vigor as he can, it all really matters naught in the end.

Alexander R (fr) wrote: Most films (as opposed to movies, shall we say?) are made to have us reflect on life. With this film, Director-Writer, Hirokazu Koreeda, goes the literal route with this notion; in a very imaginative and original way. This film is such a daring undertaking in its plot. Furthermore, it's touching in itself that Koreeda was not only bold enough to provide the deep investment that the subject matter demanded from its writer/director, but that he was also emotionally drawn into such convoluted material. And finally, it deserves applause because he pulled it off so well.I'll write more on this later.
