Breaking up with Mark Darcy leaves Bridget Jones over 40 and single again. Feeling that she has everything under control, Jones decides to focus on her career as a top news producer. Suddenly, her love life comes back from the dead when she meets a dashing and handsome American named Jack. Things couldn't be better, until Bridget discovers that she is pregnant. (jp) wrote: I loved the overall tone & material of the film, and by the end I really felt like it had struck a chord. What is family? What is it to be vulnerable? Who are the ones we are the most vulnerable and yet vicious to? Great acting, and a thorough script. My only complaint is that the film didn't really move me through any highs... It was so focused on this deluge of lows, subdued and muted... but I can appreciate that.
