Rob (br) wrote: A ruthlessly terrible exercise in proud, apathetic plagiarism to the point where one can only stand and applaud the tenacity of the money-hungry producers. A guy who seems to be an ageing, bloated version of Fred Jones from Scooby Doo stumbles around the movie pointing a gun in various directions as CGI robots occasionally show up for as long as 4 seconds at a time, about forty-odd minutes into the film. Other characters appear, including a Super Mario look-a-like. Apparently events transpire and the plot advances, although you could have fooled me. Ultimately, the movie (and its predecessor)'s sheer existence is entertaining enough, if only as an awkward anecdote at a party, when you run out of things to say.
Raymund L (jp) wrote: The premise is a little too deliberately intriguing and the twist ending utterly predictable but I have to say that the dramatic aspect of the film is deftly handled and we get a wonderful performance from Brian Geraghty.
Justin B (ag) wrote: I can appreciate that the director tried to give the movie some artistic symbolism even though he fails miserably at it; as well as every other aspect of the film. Ineptly paced and often tasteless modern horror with a really silly plot and an off the wagon Lohan looking like a middle age woman playing a highschooler. Similar to something like The Wicker Man, it's dreadful but occasionally good for a laugh.
