Nick K (ca) wrote: Maybe I getting older but idk this just seems terrible in every sense of the word . I love independent filmmaking especially horror/b-movie and the still desire of making films look like they did in the late 60's to 1970's but adding today's raunchy humor . The Taint is film the should be see once just see what the fuss people are mainly complaining about . The film would work if they were to tone it back to 8 when this film goes to 11. Scenes of obviously fake male members ejaculating blood and semen or just getting blown off with. Shotgun after the first time ( which lasts way too long with the semen for god sakes ) . I'll say it again but maybe I'm getting old but this just doesn't suit me at all maybe it never did . I love horror /b-movies with sleaze but at a controllable sleaze not " hey let's throw bunch of bodily fluids and penis' in movie while a dude with terrible bleach blond hair runs around being just really annoying and have a woman who all wants to do is shoot zombie male members off . It sounds like gold but its way too too too much of the funny thing. One star for just existing and having a cool poster but that's it . I'll revisit this movie in 6 years opr so see how it does with a 27 year old me maybe ill have a different opinion but for now the 21 year old me is tuning out this film. Troma didn't make it ( Lloyd ! You know better man ) but its in their library.

Rory P (nl) wrote: Not a groundbreaking film by an stretch of the imagination, but a quick witty low budget English comedy that fulfills all promises it ever made by keeping you amused for an hour and a half.

Kyle A (au) wrote: There's a few cringe inducing performances, but even those couldn't take me out of this film for long. On an aesthetic level "Man Push Cart" is a great study of negative space, pushing the boundaries of black within each frame and creating interesting compositions for the eye to engage with. "MPC" is also a great study of minimalism, cutting back on dialogue but still making us sympathize with the main character, a lonely and tormented former Pakistani rock star. He goes through life's daily routine, hiding his former self from NYC and the film's audience. The mystery of the man is what keeps this film moving, even if it is at a steady pace.

John M (jp) wrote: Too Effects Happy for Its Own GoodAlex Proyas had directed a number of interesting films up to this point in 2004. But, maybe getting a big budget got him effects happy! And, boy does he way over do it in "I, Robot!"The film ends up becoming yet another feature-length effects reel, seemingly made to show us the abilities of the effects crew, instead of telling a decent story. And, that wouldn't be too big a deal, except for the fact that the movie is based on the science-fiction classic by Issac Asimov. So, when you are watching the mindless effects-packed action sequences, you are absolutely thinking about what a waste of time this movie can be.Asimov's famous Three Laws of Robotics serves as an important plot element here, but that's pretty much it for the source material's involvement. The story created for the movie does have some good elements, but just when the story gets interesting, it's time for another please-make-it-stop effects sequence! It definitely gets wearing on the viewer, to the point that you're just ready for the movie to wrap up by its end.Best to grab Asimov's original, and get the "I, Robot" that's worth your time!

eric e (ag) wrote: OK, so the story is totally improbable. Clint Eastwood directs so everybody gets a real chance to act and show off and what a great cast to do that with!
