Jamie B (ag) wrote: Awful. Crap premise, terrible script, short of laughs. Didn't Jason Biggs used to be in good films?

Jomo T (mx) wrote: Beautifully simple filmmaking. Heartbreaking story and an exquisite score. I like the way the dialogue was woven into the narrative, doled out is small bits, as if the character were speaking to the audience.

Podcastings Brock (ag) wrote: Very much a thriller of it's time that still works because of the tension the movie builds up as the two leads engage you with their performances. While I wasn't happy with the last half hour, the first half to 3/4rds of it I enjoyed watching. The story is fairly straight-forward as the movie is more of a cat and mouse thriller as these two men, a dirty cop and a new Internal Affairs officer, go up against each other. Richard Gere and Andy Garcia both provide layered characters that elevate this movie from what could have been a run-of-the-mill copy story. Gere made me hate him and Garcia you were angry with him when his temper gets the better of him. Solid support by Laurie Metcalf and Nacy Travis as well. While I do disagree with the final result of the movie and I didn't care for the brief use of slow-motion in one action scene, my complaints are few. Internal Affairs pulled me in. Recommend.

scott g (ag) wrote: Coming off the heels of star wars, ripping of many elements, Opening schroll, Weapon mass destruction, lightsabers and so on and so, but in ways a film of itsa own, its a b movie through and through thats laughable throughout but also entertaining in its own way, it is what it is, and certainly never dull. homemade effects at times that look terrible but also, come the end mixed in with very nifty stuff, so bad its good and 100 minutes off campy fun.

Martin D (us) wrote: Truly dreadful, one of the worst of the series. Not even Kenneth Williams could make it watchable. Felt like Carry On Camping, and was just as bad.

Tony C (kr) wrote: Chloe feels horribly out of place as Carrie. This reboot could have been fantastic, had they just made important changes. They should have made a twist, for example, Carrie's mom being telekinetic too, so they could have a battle, but instead it is a scene for scene disaster. The effects are great, but without a new story, the only people who could like tis, are those who haven't seen the original.

Francisco S (es) wrote: This movie can be a little predictable, but his great cast and the original story are enough to forget that. Final Destination try to transmit the message that all of we have a destiny and can't escape to it, but this attempt to transmit the message is destroyed for is weak argument, because all of we know that the water won't follow a specific path on the floor escaping to the laws of physic. Interesting.
