I usually don't like films like this because I feel that they perpetuate black stereotypes but I decided to give this one a try and I wasn't disappointed. I won't say I loved it because I still don't like some of the racial aspect of it but there really hasn't been a film like this that performs well since 'Boyz N the Hood'.

That by itself is enough to gain an amazing rating. Great cast, exceptional stoyline and brillaint cinematpgraphy puts this film near to the top of all greats.
Nicki M (gb) wrote: I think this was really badly marketed. From the cover it looks like a romantic comedy, only of course you expect it to have an edge as it stars Sarah Silverman, and just the title alone, you know you can expect something a little bit different. However, it is not really that type of movie at all. It is a slight, quiet little film about an overweight man who wants to find love. Sarah Silverman is barely in it, (which is a blessing, at least from my point of view - I really don't find her endearing at all), and when she is, she turns out to be not all that nice. It is brief at 80 minutes, and thought it has it's moments, including a cameo by Amy Sedaris, it falls pretty flat and is ultimately unsatisfying on any level. My husband compared this to a Woody Allen movie, and I think he is right. If they marketed it more in that area, I think it would have been a lot less disappointing.
Wes S (jp) wrote: A barely related sequel, as it completely ignores the first film's epilogue and sets out for a disastrous plot. There's not many settings and Dracula spends most of this time tied up. The rest of the characters are boring and do little to help the plot proceed. While the general plot may hold some interest, it's sloppy. Decent amount of gore and tension, which is all that the film seems to offer.

Troy F (us) wrote: It really isn't worth it to watch a film that takes too much of its time building up plot points just to lead to an excuse for a dog to terrorize a mother and son in a car, which only has a few effective moments and a fair performance from the mother, but the boy just whines uncontrollably to an annoying degree. You want to see what goes on with the dog, why wait so long to see it? Read up on the plot that starts the film and skip to when they get to the house with the dog, and you'll have a short 40 min film about a terrifying dog that's probably better paced that way. The film's focus is on this dog, yet he's terrifying half the time, and other half just an adorable dog coated in blood that looks silly. In total, Cujo as it is just drags and it blows.
