Patrick K (es) wrote: I love this movie. I laughed hard from beginning to end. If you dig Kevin Smith's work ... and if you liked "Ted," then you'll also get a kick out of the sparkling dialogue of "Coffee Town." The main characters are deliciously idiotic as they try to commit the perfect "non-crime." I cannot recommend this film enough. See it. Laugh. Then watch a couple of ordinary, crummy comedies ... and then go back and re-watch "Coffee Town" and laugh some more. Enjoy.

Kevin L (ag) wrote: One of the most original concepts I have ever seen committed to film. The entire cast is made up of marionettes, who know that they are marionettes..... It's awesomely bizarre. I began thinking that the plot was going to be formulaic as a result, but it was definitely not, the twists and turns were constantly catching me by surprise, it is deliciously complex. If you can suspend your disbelief, then this is one to watch.

Stephen S (es) wrote: Okay. Not particularly good, but not terrible either. This film is just kind of confusing at times.

Paul T (au) wrote: This is such and Aussie flick! As a caper tale with a nice twist in the tale it would be pretty average, were it not for the wonderful collection of characters which drive the action along and really make you care about the outcome. Sam Worthington makes a likeable and charismatic lead, ably supported by British import Spall and particularly David Wenham, whose turn as 'Spit' provides some of the films funniest moments. His courtroom scene alone is worth watching the film for. A well made, enjoyable romp.

LOL, when he throws that pair of panties at that chick I laughed so hard. I also love the fact that Bob (Wahlberg), Donnie's real-life brother, plays his brother in the movie.

geonard y (it) wrote: Directed by Marlon Brando Starring Marlon Brando, Karl Malden, Katy Jurado, Ben Johnson, Pina Pellicer, Slim Pickens Sooooo, Unforgiven was inspired heavily by this Western starring and directed by Brando (who took the reins from Stanley Kubrick). The parallel scenes are many like the whipping, the hero recuperates outside town, and even Malden promising, I see you again, Im gonna shoot you down like a dog! a speech thats very Hackman-ish. However, One Eyed Jacks which tells the story of bank robber Rio (Brando) who gets even with his partner (Malden) who betrayed him some years ago splits between a revenge tale and a love story. Yep, you cant keep a good love story away from Brando. And in any good ole tale of payback, romance always gets in the way of momentum. Brando is a capable director but hes such a great actor that hes not enough time. This is a better made Western, if only Brando had scratched off that love angle thing, this would have been such a classic. Best Scene: Whipping. QUOTE: Forget it? Not as long as Im breathing

Jason C (ag) wrote: The moment when the travelling guitarist comes into the saloon and sings Robert Ford a song about how Robert Ford is a coward is quickly becoming one of my favorite scenes in all of moviedom. Great performance by John Ireland as the aforementioned Ford.

Carlos M (gb) wrote: Kavanagh is an excellent director who cares about building a disturbing, eerie atmosphere with a superb cinematography and sound design, and the result is a terrifying movie that could have really become a classic if it weren't for its last ten minutes with such a silly, clichd twist.

Harold J (ru) wrote: My kind of movie. Even better that this was based on a true story.
